Man drove for 248 miles with a puppy stuck in his bumper

It may not look like it, but this is one lucky pup.A stray dog miraculously escaped death, when it got stuck in the bumper of a car after the vehicle ran into it.The incident took place in

Fenghuang County in central China’s Hunan Province, and left both the dog and the driver pretty shaken up.Talking about the incident, Mr Zhang,

the driver of the vehicle, explained: ‘I was driving pretty quickly at the time so when I hit the dog, I thought it had either died or run away,

so I didn’t get out of the car to check.’However later (as in, a couple of hundred miles down the road later) Mr Zhang heard barking from

under the car, and when he went to investigate he found the dog stuck in his front bumper. So, what did Mr Zhang do next?

Release the dog from the bumper? No, don’t be silly.Instead, he drove on to a vet’s surgery in his hometown, meaning that the poor

dog was trapped in his bumper for a grand total of 248 miles.Anyway, you’ll all be glad to hear that this sorry tale has a happy ending.

After the puppy got the once over by the vet (amazingly he escaped unscathed) Mr Zhang adopted him, and they’re now the best of friends.

Mr Zhang said: ‘It escaped from great danger. This really moved me. This shows my fate with the dog.’Well that’s one way to look at it.
